The University Hospital of Poitiers welcomes you as close as possible to your home, depending on your needs and situation.
Our establishment has two maternity ward, on the sites of Poitiers – Milétrie (level 3 maternity) and Châtellerault (level 1 maternity), and two perinatal centers on the sites of Loudun and Montmorillon.
- An accompanying person is allowed for patients presenting to the emergency room or for a scheduled consultation or ultrasound, as long as they don’t have symptoms suggestive of COVID-19. Wearing a mask is obligatory.
- In the delivery room, an accompanying person is allowed as long as there are no symptoms suggestive of COVID-19. Wearing a mask is mandatory for the accompanying person and strongly recommended for the patient as part of the protection of the nursing staff. No exit from the delivery room is allowed.
- In maternity ward, the second parent is allowed to stay in the room during the hospitalization. Only one outing (round trip) is allowed per day. A mask must be worn when leaving the room or in the presence of a member of the nursing staff.
