Since that date, this mention of excellence has been annually reevaluated and unfailingly renewed.<\/p>\n<p>The CPMCV has developed ambulatory treatment of resistant arterial hypertension and, particularly, of young persons, and in the day hospital the CPMCV uses adrenal vein catheterization, so that patients with primary hyperaldosteronism and a morphological adrenal abnormality are only operated when absolutely necessary. And since December 2012, the unit has been practicing renal endoarterial denervation in the framework of a study protocol (DENER-HTN).<\/p>\n<p>In the future, these types of invasive techniques, which are complementary to non-medical and pharmacological approaches, will be further developed, one example being stimulation of the carotid glomus using an implanted pacemaker-like case.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"color: #981135; font-size: small;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.chu-poitiers.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/ath_rome.jpg\" alt=\"cardio\" width=\"498\" height=\"285\" align=\"middle\" hspace=\"0\" \/><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>THE CARDIAC AND VASCULAR DISEASE PREVENTION CENTER Created in 2002 in the medical and surgical cardiology department, the cardiac and vascular disease prevention center \u00a0(CPMCV) is specialized in the treatment of risk factors, particularly arterial hypertension (AHT).
