Covid-19 – Access to the hospital

Poitiers University Hospital eases its conditions to visit patients :

One visitor per patient per day

One accompanying person allowed for emergencies and consultations

Two visitors per day per patient/resident in geriatrics and long-term care sectors (EHPAD)

You still have to wear a surgical face mask.

Since the 9th of August 2021, you have to show your health passport (“pass sanitaire”) to enter the University Hospital of Poitiers.

The health passport is not required for :

  • Emergency patients
  • The access to the “relais Georges Charbonnier”, to the “PASS de Châtellerault”, to the “CEGIDD”, to the mortuary, to the pharmacy
  • Patients who come for an abortion

Safety measures are still in place in our hospitals :  you have to wear a surgical face mask and wash your hands with hydroalcoholic gel.

 

Visits are forbidden for minors who don’t have a health passport. Les visites sont interdites aux mineurs ne disposant pas de pass sanitaire.

Derogations can be granted in special situations, with the consent of the doctor.

If you come for a scheduled consultation or delivery (caesarean), you have to provide your health passport.

In case of emergency (non-scheduled delivery), the health passport is not required.

From 9 August 2021, you have to provide a health passport if you want to accompany a patient, except for emergency situations. If you are not vaccinated, you can provide a negative testing result (72h earlier max). You have to get tested before your arrival, and you have to do the test every 72h.

 

To access the cancerology regional department, you have to provide a valid health passport.

If you are not vaccinated, you can provide a negative testing result, a valid recovery certificate, or a certificate of contraindication to the covid-19 vaccination.
